Photograph details

Location: Rye, Victoria, Australia
Time of year: Summer
Edition Size: Limited to 10 prints

There is something absolutely unique about Victoria’s coastal diversity. This image was taken on the Rye front beach as a storm rolled over the bay towards Melbourne. The moment this image was taken the clouds were sweeping across the horizon line with flickers of late summer lightning in the air. The peninsula though seemed to be standing still as though I stood in the eye of the storm. The soothing colours of the complex native grasses contrasted against the incredible ink blotted sky texture create a beautiful neutral pallet that entices you to explore down the path towards the beach. This is an image I feel I could get lost in, a place where I can feel completely at peace.
