MACEDON MACRO & TEXTURES WORKSHOP
Max 4ppl | 8am-3pm workshop
Walking through a rainforest can be an overwhelming experience, the colour, the mood and light all compete for our attention but often the best photographs are of the little things. This workshop is built around observing the small stuff, experimenting with lighting and enhancing the colour and textures of the environment around us. Whilst it is useful to have a macro lens for this workshop it is not essential as textures and even ‘macro’ subject are not necessarily as small as you might think! We will be exploring composition, focusing techniques, lighting techniques using flash and torches as well as a focus on aperture priority mode.
Like all of my workshops, we keep it light and break down big challenges into bite-sized pieces. With a small group of just 4 people there is plenty of one-on-one time and my approach is to help you to understand and remember the ‘why’ behind the concepts so that you are able to problem solve independently in the future.
Over 1500 students have completed my group and one-on-one workshops, hear what they had to say – Reviews.
“Matt has found the perfect mix of theory (that is presented in a way that makes it less intimidating than it seems) and the practical of just getting out there and shooting – with all the support you need. “Lucy G
