Advanced Wildlife Photography Workshop with Matt Krumins in Melbourne Victoria

ADVANCED WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP AT MELBOURNE ZOO

LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED | DURATION: 3hr | COST: $149.95 inc GST (Includes Zoo Entry)

Real wildlife photography is a game of patience, perseverance and technical know-how. It requires you to be able to think on your feet and make changes to your focus, settings and exposure without taking the camera down from your eye. I've photographed wildlife all over the world both for my own portfolio and for the tourism industry and this workshop is about passing on the top techniques I use to get the job when in the field.

We cover key settings and when to use them, the array of focusing methods available on your camera, using histograms to analyse photos in-camera as well as constructive critique on compositions. For this workshop it's necessary to have a firm understanding of your cameras basic settings with a little bit of experience under your belt as we will be delving deep into our camera settings and capabilities. It's also necessary to have a telephoto lens (300m+) as these are critical for wildlife photography and I would highly recommend a macro lens for the butterflies however a telephoto lens can suffice.

The advanced wildlife photography workshop at Melbourne Zoo includes your entry into the zoo, notes on the topics covered and I encourage you to bring your smart phone along as well in case you would like to record miniature tutorials specific to your camera! We start the morning with a short 30 minute round-table session where we get everyone up to speed on the basics before starting our journey around the zoo implementing different settings and techniques with a variety of subjects.

Following your workshop you will be invited to join the Matt Krumins Photography Course Collective Facebook group, giving you a safe and productive environment to continue your photography growth through both peer and instructor feedback.

This exclusive small-group workshop will set you up to start your wildlife photography journey be it native birds and fauna or your next overseas safari.
