WATERFALL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Full day session, max 3ppl
My waterfalls photography workshop departs Melbourne and takes us out to Toorongo Falls (around 1.5 hours east of Melbourne) in a rainforest environment filled with ferns, gum trees, meandering streams and of course beautiful cascading waterfalls. It’s the perfect place to learn long exposure photography and the techniques to create flawless compositions whist getting out into the fresh mountain air, decluttering your mind and letting your creativity run wild.
On my waterfalls photography workshop there are Lee filter kits supplied for your use as well as step-by-step quick-guides for your take home. Long exposure in complex environments like rainforest waterfalls can be challenging but should always be fun first, so rather than diving into technical jargon my workshops use stories and relatable analogies to break down big challenges into bite-sized pieces. My approach is to help you to understand and remember the ‘why’ behind the concepts so that you are able to problem solve independently in the future.
Over 1500 students have completed my group and one-on-one workshops, hear what they had to say – Reviews.
“Not sure who said it but this perfectly encapsulates Matt Krumins and his instruction. The mediocre teacher TELLS. The good teacher EXPLAINS. The superior teacher DEMONSTRATES. The great teacher INSPIRES.” Matt ticks all the boxes and then some!”Andy M

Whilst this workshop does delve into more complex manual settings and filters, all of my workshops are designed to be small enough to cater to personal needs so you won’t be left behind, we may simply adapt the content to your personal needs.
Camera gear: As we will be experimenting with different filters and settings it’s important to have a camera that has access to manual settings as well as a threaded lens. All interchangeable cameras have threaded lenses and manual settings but if you are unsure, please contact me to ask on 0402812805. A tripod will also be required however if you do not have one I can arrange a loan tripod for the day free of charge.
