Gear on my Radar: Peak Design mini strap

Ok, so I openly hate camera straps, I use them a little as possible; especially since this week my (will not name brands) strap left horrible black marks on my teeshirt as the rubberised grip melted in the heat. That said, I am prone to dropping my camera which is a pretty costly problem. One product that has peaked my fancy this week is from our friends at Peak Design. They have released a new kickstarter campaign for a mini ‘clutch’ style strap that give you security for your grip but not the ‘I’m all tangled up’ part. These new straps are designed specifically around the fact that most mirrorless cameras are shrinking their finger grip area making it harder to get a good grip than ever. Note that I am in no way affiliated with them or the kickstarter campaign, just a cool product.
