I have operated an outdoor Theme Park by the name of Funfields for a period of about 25 years. Over the years we have used professional photographers for some really good results. However this year we enlisted the services of Matt Krummins and the results were outstanding. Matt had to work with a number of talent on the day and he did it with ease. Everyone commented on how easy going he was and how easy it was to take his directions. The main difference was Matt's composition. He captured some dynamic shots. As we know we're always after the "money shot" and if you can get one in a shoot you're doing well. In this shoot Matt was able to deliver numerous money shots. I would recommend Matt for any photography shoot and a quick look on his website will show you how diverse his talent is.

Amazing night workshop! Would surely recommend for all levels!

Matt is a fun & helpful teacher. I joined the Beginners at Melbourne Zoo Course to learn using my new camera, and signed up for the Travel & Street Course afterwards. I learnt a lot from both sessions and I would definitely recommend anyone avid in photography to join Matt for fun & informative excursions.

Had a great time. Learned a lot and could see an immediate improvement in my photos.

I was gifted a beginner workshop to learn more about my Nikon film camera, however discovered the course does primarily focus on digital only. BUT it was still super helpful and would recommend if you’re looking to get more info about your film camera settings, as the skills can be applied across both.

The experience itself was great, Matt was a great teacher and everything was easy to follow. The backdrop of the zoo made it super interesting, giving lots of diverse subjects to practice on.

Had a fantastic day with Matt for his travel photography course in Melbourne. He taught me an entirely different method of shooting while traveling to focus more on composition and leveraging the powerful tools within the camera to assist in shooting fast in constantly changing environments. He makes shooting great photos easy for anyone and really simplified my process so I could get back to just enjoying taking photos and less on the technical aspects that can often get in the way and take you out of the moment. I highly recommend spending a session with him!

My husband gifted me a private workshop with Matt for a special birthday — a session I could tailor entirely to my needs. As a self-taught, semi-professional photographer already working in the industry, I wasn’t even sure what I wanted to learn.
Matt was incredibly patient, down to earth, and generous with his time and expertise (with a great sense of humour too!). When you're self-taught, you often get locked into one way of doing things, but Matt offered fresh perspectives that have been invaluable.
Recently, I landed an event photography gig, and Matt walked me through the best camera settings, which meant I went into the job with confidence and far less nerves. Regardless of your skill level, he has a way of helping you grow as a photographer.
The only downside? You’ll get to play with gear you’ll instantly want for yourself! 😆

Great workshop for new to night photography. It was well paced informative and Matt is so enthusiastic it is inspiring.

The three hour workshop at Melbourne Zoo, on 15 March 2025, was fantastic. From group explanations through to individual tuition, Matt made sure we all understood what he was saying and how to apply it to our own cameras. Matt was engaging and so patient and giving to those in attendance. I'm looking forward to putting into practice what I have learnt and already trying to decide which workshop to do next. Matt’s workshop was great, it was super practical and engaging. As a novice he made you feel comfortable and catered to all levels in the group. Would recommend and I’m keen to attend another workshop.

This photography workshop last night with Matt in the city's was fantastic albeit a bit wet. Matt, the instructor, was super knowledgeable about the location and gave us great tips on how to capture amazing shots. He really knew how to adjust his guidance based on each person's skill level, even for a beginner like me, which made the learning experience so much better. Plus, the small group size meant plenty of one-on-one feedback, and the whole vibe was really relaxed and supportive. I walked away feeling so inspired and with way better photography skills. Fantastic opportunity to learn more about my camera.

My mum bought me this experience for my Birthday/Christmas and although I was extremely anxious in doing it, it turned out to be great. I Loved the Melbourne zoo work shop, as a new beginner, I had no idea what I was doing with my camera, Matt helped us all learn the different functions on each of our cameras, this has given me the knowledge and confidence to keep working on my new photography hobby! 10/10 recommended!!
