I have done quite a few photo workshops before. Matt’s Bootcamp was byfar the best photography learning experience I’ve had and definitely the best value for money. He teaches concepts then sets up examples that demonstrates them. Not just wildlife and landscape. He also makes a mean toasty for breakfast/ lunch or dinner.

I definitely recommend Matt's workshops. Matt's October Bootcamp was amazing! The photography locations were fantastic. We covered a lot of photography genres with simple explanations & practice sessions. This opened areas of photography I didn't think I enjoyed. Matt adjusted the week to fit the everyone's levels and needs. Nothing was an issue for Matt - he even made sure we had ample coffee & snacks!! Check out what Matt has to offer, you won't be disappointed. I know I won't hesitate booking further workshops in 2024.

I really enjoyed Matt's Melbourne by Night workshop in and around the CBD. Matt is a great guy and a natural teacher, and also makes it a long of fun. He breaks down the technical stuff to plain English for all skill levels, and it's a great refresher for people who might rate themselves as having some experience with a camera. His structured approach to camera craft is a great takeaway for any style of photography, not just nightscapes. He gets us to think more about composition, too. These are small groups so everyone gets all the attention they need, and what also amazed me is how well he knows all the major cameras. Highly recommended for anyone, whether you're starting out or need to brush up.

The beginner’s workshop at the Zoo with Matt was wonderful! If you want to learn about photography and not feel like you are the lowest common denominator, then Matt Krummins Photography is where you should go to learn!!I just completed the Master Your Speedlight workshop. Who would have thought I could do so much with this!! There was six of us at all different levels and there was something for everyone. You receive workshop notes and there is plenty of time to ask that question you thought was silly, but really wasn't. You laugh, learn and have lightbulb moments!These workshops are a must if you want to improve and have fun.

Had a fabulous week participating in Matt’s May 2023 Bright Bootcamp. Matt was on constant weather-watch to ensure we made the most of all the weather conditions - sun, rain, snow, fog - thrown at us during the week, resulting in some fabulous photo opportunities. He has extensive knowledge of all major camera systems (mine is Fuji), which I found very helpful and he worked hard to ensure that there was a good balance between teaching, practice and feedback. I highly recommend the experience in this beautiful part of Victoria. Matt also makes a mean carbonara. What more could you want!

I was lucky enough to secure a spot in Matt's April 2023 Bright Bootcamp and it was honestly the highlight of my year! Matt is a thoughtful, considered, unendingly positive, technically brilliant and compassionate teacher and guide - I learnt so much in those 5 days, but be ready, it was definitely a bootcamp!! His way of explaining the technical and creative aspects of each photography style were so easy to understand, and the comedic entertainment and musical education 😉 made the journey between locations a blast. 100% would do again and recommend in a heartbeat! 5 FUNS OUT OF 5.

Have just completed the Macro course run by Matt (May 2022). A great day with lots of learning, handouts and small information cards to keep in your camera bag. Matt had lots of ideas of how to photogragh fungi and had enough equipment eg different lighting that we could all try out. A really knowledge teacher with a lovely friendly style. I recently did an Underwater Photography course with Matt and highly recommend it. He thoroughly walked us through step by step how to use our cameras and housings, which settings and modes to start with, and explained so clearly the main things to work on as beginners - how to position ourselves in the water, frame the subject, take care of lighting and reduce backscatter. He then showed us step by step with our own photos how to correct and edit them to bring back the original colours and features. Now to get out there and put it all into practice... Thanks Matt!
