I did the beginners course at the Melbourne Zoo last week and absolutely loved it! Matt was very helpful in explaining how to use certain functions on your camera in a way that was easy to understand. I've done workshops before and left totally zapped and couldn't remember a thing! This course is so worth it. I'm looking forward to attending another one soon. ☺️

I spent a few hours with Matt going over how to use Program, Aperture and Shutter modes; histogram and how to read it; focus options on camera; generally getting to know my camera and functions better. He’s a great teacher - listening skills, reflective comment, manages expectations of what can be achieved in a session, summarises what we’ve covered. Learnt a lot and appreciated him taking notes which he forwarded post session. Hard to find a photographer with such proficiency in both the technical as well as teaching ability.

This was a brilliant experience. Matt explained cameras and photography in a really basic way that even I could understand. It was amazing to see how much better my photos were immediately. Thanks for being my camera translator.

Making Sense of the 'P' :)What an amazing day. Matt was sensational! He explained everything clearly and made the processess relatable. He introduced us to the 'P' on our cameras and explained away the 'scary' and uncertainty. I found it so educational and had many 'ah ha' moments. Thank you Matt, a fun morning followed by lots of experimenting in the afternoon as you can see by all the attached photos 🙂

This was not only a fun day at the zoo but Matt introduced the foundations of photography without it being overwhelming. He gave clear, good examples and explanations and there was no expectation that you knew anything prior. I am now confident that I can use my camera and I know the important features I can use to get the best from my photos. Keen to keep building on my skills. Thanks so much Matt!

I recently did a one on one course with Matt to get an understanding of how to setup the camera for underwater shots. The lesson was informative and at a level I could understand. Having now put it into practice it has made a vast improvement on my shots. Would throughly recommend Matts course.2/3/24I just completed the Travel and Street workshop with Matt and found it very enjoyable. The content was explained in an easy to understand manner and it has given me a new perspective of taking photos. Would highly recommended doing this workshop19/7/24I have just completed the portrait and lighting workshop with Matt and again it has been another exceptional workshop. Matt excels in explaining techniques which are easy to understand. The model CJ is a delight to work with and makes you feel at ease. If you are looking to learn how to make the best use of lightning I would certainly recommend the workshop.

I ejoyed and learned heaps at Matt's Street Photography workshop in Melbourne. His easy going manner made me feel comfortable throughout the afternoon and I can now look, and photograph those familiar places in the city with a new perspectiive. Thanks Matt

I joined a beginners photography course with Matt at the Melbourne Zoo Sunday, even though a bit chilly and cold it was a terrific three hours. I was a little tentative being a beginner.,however Matt soon dispelled any nerves.I was impressed by his attention to not only the group but each individual.His explanations and instructions were clear and he certainly set me up with a greater understanding of the basics of my camera.His easygoing nature established a wonderful rapport with the group. It was fun! I look forward to working with him in another workshop, .I highly recommend them.

Loved my second workshop also. Was so absorbing. Really inspired me to get out there and take more photos. And to think more about the type of photo I wanted rather than just pointing and clicking.
