I completed the Beginners Photography Workshop at Melbourne Zoo and it was absolutely fabulous. Matt was incredibly approachable, he brought a fantastic sense of humour to all interactions and he was easy to talk to. Matt is knowledgeable, able to simplify the concepts using clever analogies, and he was willing to answer any questions we had relating to our camera/photography experience. He assisted me with advice (including advice that was outside the scope of his workshop so bonus points there) on how to take photos of the animals that I love, and I have been able to implement that. I highly recommend Matt's beginners course to anyone starting their own photography journey, and I will return for the advance wildlife course in due time.

I have just finished Matt's Bootcamp at Bright. As the name implies it was a week of flexing and stretching our technique, creativity and photography skills. While often out of my comfort zone Matt's insights, tips and encouragement had me not only doing things better, but trying things I had feared to try. It is a great way to fast track your skills and confidence.

I did Matt’s Seascape and Piers workshop and learnt so much from him. He limits this workshop to a small group, so I got one-on-one attention for a lot of the time. He is very practical and pitched his input to suit my existing level of knowledge and to address my problem areas. If you want to improve your photography, then this is for you. Great experience and also very enjoyable.

It truly added to the overall camaraderie of the boot camp experience. Due to the lack of a vehicle, I was grateful for Matt’s thoughtful arrangements for early morning pickups. He was punctual and reliable, making the logistics of our session seamless. Despite the early hours, his positive energy and enthusiasm set the tone for the day, making it a delight to work together. Overall, my experience with Matt Krumins Photography was truly remarkable. His professionalism, creativity, and warm demeanor make him a standout in the field. Matt is an excellent communicator and educator. I just completed the landscape workshop in Bright. I’ve always had an interest in photography but to get started seemed to hard so pushed it aside. In the first hour I had learnt so much I began to believe I could do it. By the end of the week I still wouldn’t call myself a photographer but I am on a journey and feel well equipped to start me on the journey. Matt’s ability to make what seems complex simple, patience and genuine love of people and photography make him an exceptional instructor. Everyone in the group were at different levels and yet every person felt they were the most important and felt they gained greatly from the workshop. I would highly recommend doing a workshop with Matt to anyone regardless of your photography skills.

I have been lucky enough to do a number of Matt's workshops, most recently the incredible multi-day Bright Bootcamp. It was one of the best investments I have ever made in my photography, as well as being a really fun week. Matt is a brilliant teacher. He has knowledge of all different camera brands, and also caters to a wide range of interests and skill levels. He started the workshop by getting us to set ourselves goals, so we had clear objectives for the week. He taught us a wide range of skills and genres, without it being too complex or jargon heavy. We tried landscapes, astro, macro, waterfalls, portraiture, speed lights, editing, and more! He also gave us all reference cards and printed booklet of lessons to keep and refer to after the workshop. I cannot recommend Matt highly enough and hope to do more of his workshops very soon!

Great class, really well paced. I left knowing a lot more about camera settings and composition but without feeling overwhelmed with too much information.

Loved it, super practical and perfect for getting to know your camera and the foundations. Matt is warm and encouraging and fab at explaining the technical bits in a way anyone can understand!

Highly Recommended for anyone looking to take better pictures. Matt has years of experience and is a natural teacher. Regardless if you are a beginner or professional, I recommend starting with the beginner course as this offers a unique approach to photography which is especially ideal for those less technically minded people. Good basic tips with analogies that make instructions easy to understand and follow. I have done follow up courses with Matt and found other more experienced photographers were unaware of basic functions taught to me in the beginner course. So never assume you know it all. I will be back for more courses and some one on one training with Matt Krumins. My new go to trainer in photography.
